NEP (NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY)

Our school has enthusiastically embraced the National Education Policy 2020 with a vision to provide holistic, multidisciplinary, and skill-based education. We have introduced experiential learning, activity-based teaching, and competency-focused assessments across all grades. Emphasis is placed on foundational literacy and numeracy in the early years, integration of art, sports, and technology in the curriculum, and promotion of critical thinking and creativity. Teachers are continuously trained through professional development programmes to align classroom practices with NEP guidelines. The school also encourages multilingual learning and blends modern technology with traditional values to prepare our students as responsible and future-ready citizens.

Socially Useful Productive Work by CISCE

As per the guidelines of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), our school implements Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) as an integral part of the curriculum. SUPW provides students with hands-on learning experiences that promote creativity, responsibility, and social awareness. Through activities such as craftwork, gardening, community service, environmental projects, and skill-based programs, students learn the dignity of labour and the value of contributing meaningfully to society. The programme encourages teamwork, discipline, and practical application of classroom learning, in harmony with CISCE’s vision of holistic education.

We follow a child-centered approach, where learning is interactive, engaging, and relevant to real-life experiences. Instead of rote memorization, we emphasize understanding, application, and innovation—helping students develop the confidence to solve problems, express themselves, and explore new ideas.

Beyond Textbooks

We strongly believe that true education goes beyond academics. Students at Doon Junior School,  are encouraged to participate in sports, performing arts, debates, science exhibitions, cultural events, and community programs. These opportunities help them develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, and empathy.

Our STEM and Robotics labs inspire innovation and problem-solving, while arts and creative workshops allow students to explore their imagination. This balance ensures that our learners grow into well-rounded individuals.

Modern Teaching and Global Outlook

Our classrooms are equipped with smart technology and digital resources, making learning interactive and effective. Teachers integrate visual learning, discussions, experiments, and projects to make lessons engaging and memorable.
